Key Staff
Azzy Asghar - MD
Our MD has been involved in the service industry for almost 25 years. His experience includes working as a waiter at the iconic Tavern on the Green in Central Park, NY and culminating as Assistant Director of Catering at the legendary Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. Continuing his passion and love of food he has published Epicurean Life magazine since 1994.
He has also published the Harbour Club magazine for five years and BMW Directions magazine. Additionally, he has consulted at some of the biggest companies in the world and worked with such luminaries as Gary Player.
Mr Asghar attended Columbia University in New York and went on to complete his education at the London School of Economics Graduate School.
James Ramsden - Executive Director
James has been involved in the service and hospitality business for 19 years. After graduating from Swiss Hotel Management School 'Les Roches' in Crans Montana, he worked for the Inter-Continental Hotel Group in both Geneva and London, becoming one of the youngest departmental heads, aged 21.
Moving on to discover the restaurant sector, he helped a well renowned Northern restaurateur source and open two sites from an original Concept 'Gastro-Pub' (1996), in the process winning 2 AA rosettes with an eventual sell-out to a major brewery.
He spent 18 months in Paris and worked with the General Manager of the Jacques Garcia designed Hotel Costes and consulted in the opening of Phillippe Starck restaurant 'Bon', having previously consulted for Starck at the Delano Hotel, Miami. Much knowledge was gained about flamboyancy, passion & an eye for design working with such Individuals.
Upon returning to London he purchased an ailing Chelsea member's club on Lower Sloane Street, SW1, 'JaK's'. Creating a membership with such diversity as Prince William, Chelsea Clinton and the well-heeled Chelsea set, it was soon targeted for a buy-out and sold.
More recently he has become a Director of 'La Brasserie' Restaurant in SW3, having done much consultancy and public relations work with the owner since 1996. Managing their day to day affairs, it currently serves 3000+ customers weekly and has been described (July '07) in Michael Winners Dinners' column as a “Brilliant Brasserie”. James is also Fluent in French and a basic knowledge of Portuguese and Italian.
Eliza Burnett - Director
What can we say about our Director Eliza that being nominated for 2005 Woman of the Year does not relay. A published author and part-time TV personality, Eliza has great contacts within the media and previously was a joint partner in the ProArt Consultancy.
